Bluejay Men's Soccer Battles #21 Seton Hall to 1-1 Draw

Omaha, Neb. -- Creighton Men's Soccer rallied from down early to earn a 1-1 draw against #21 Seton Hall on Saturday, November 1.
Following the result on Saturday Creighton is 8-3-4 on the season and 4-1-2 in BIG EAST action, while Seton Hall moved to 7-2-7 on the season and 3-0-4 in conference contests.
The Pirates struck first with a goal in 7th minute (6:28) as Mikkel Lejbowicz found the back of the net while lying on the ground. Lejbowicz blasted a shot to start the series, but a Creighton defender stepped in front to deny the attempt. A failed clear allowed the ball to fall back to Lejbowicz off the foot of teammate TIl Kauschke. The second strike from Lejbowicz gave Seton Hall a 1-0 edge.
Down 1-0, Creighton controlled play and possession for the majority of the remaining 83 mintues. The equalizer came in the 32nd minute (31:31) as Brady Bragg finished a series of passes from Ryusei Shimonishi and Luka Nedic with a leaping header to the lower corner of the net.
Creighton closed the match with a 14-10 edge on shots as well as a 4-1 advantage on corners created.
The BIG EAST Midwest Division championship will be decided on the Morrison Stadium pitch on Friday, November 7 as the Bluejays host Akron at 6:00 pm.
