At Creighton: 2023-24: Averaged 73.04 strokes per round as a senior, playing in 27 rounds ... Had 11 rounds or par or better ... Shared BIG EAST Golfer of the Week honors with teammate Grant Feldman on Sept. 20 ... Finished fifth (of 59) at Throwdown Up Top at Landmand (Oct. 10-11) and eighth (of 55) at BIG EAST Championships (April 27-29) ... Shot 79r or better in all but one round ... Low round was a 67 , which came in his first round of the fall at the RAM Masters Invitational (Sept. 6) ... His name is all over the CU record book over the last 20 years ... His senior year scoring average ranks eighth-best and his 73.16 career scoring average ranks second-best (min. 30 rounds) ... His 105 rounds played are fifth-most, his 41 rounds of par or better are six more than any other player, his seven top-five finishes are second-most. 2022-23: Prepped for his junior season by qualifying for the US Amateur ... Zielinski was one of two Bluejays to participate in each of the Bluejays 10 competitions on the season, posting a team-best average round score of 73.67. He also led the squad with 11 rounds under par across the season. Charlie’s two best rounds of the season were back-to-back 69-shot (-3) rounds to close out the Wildcat Invitational on Sep. 12-13 where he finished 4th overall with a -7 total score to open his junior season. Zielinski also finished under par at the GCU Invitational on March 13-14, placing 16th behind a 70-70-72 line. (-1). To cap off the season the Omaha native shot even (71-70-75) at the BIG EAST Championships, placing 4th and earning a spot on the All-BIG EAST tournament team. That made him the league’s only player to finish in the top-five in each of the last two seasons ... ... Named to College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team. 2021-22: Zielinski participated in all 10 events for the Bluejays, cracking the top-five four times. Zielinski averaged a round score of 72.53, the second best on the team on the season. His lowest round score was a 67 in the first round of the season, at the Wildcat Invitational from Sep. 13-14, in which he was the runner-up with a -4 finish. Charlie's best performance of the season (-7) came at the BIG EAST Championship from April 25-27, in which he shot 69-71-69 and placed third. 2020-21: Zielinski played in six events as a freshman, posting an average round score of 73.6. At the Twin Oaks Intercollegiate from March 22-23, he cracked the top-10 and had a sub-70 round for the first time in his collegiate career, shooting 73-69-73 (+2).
