Nelson appeared in four matches during his sophomore season, logging a combined 24 minutes ... His first match as a Bluejay saw Owen hit the pitch in Creighton’s 2-1 win over No. 13 Marquette on Sept. 15 ... He played a season-high eight minutes in a 2-1 road win at DePaul (Sept. 23) and a 2-2 draw at St. John’s (Oct. 28).

He was invited to join European Soccer Institute and train in the French Football Federation under the international professional, Stéphane Auvray ... Owen helped lead the team to a Futsal National Championship in 2019 and won the Kansas State Cup with ESI/Puma in 2019 ... Owen was selected to the ODP regional team from 2019-2021, and was invited to join the Shattuck-St. Mary’s squad in 2020 ... While at Shattuck-St. Mary’s, Owen helped the Sabres qualify for the MLS Next playoff tournament in both the 2021 and 2022 seasons.
