2013 (Junior):
Healthy for the first time as a Bluejay, Angela started each of Creighton’s 18 matches in 2013 ... Benson notched her first point for the Bluejays on Aug. 30, recording an assist in the 6-0 win over North Dakota ... Her first goal came on Oct. 3 at Providence, helping the Bluejays post a 3-2 win ... Benson increased her offensive numbers despite moving from the midfield to the back four in 2013.
2012 (Sophomore):
In her first season at Creighton, Benson appeared in 18 games, despite battling through a severe case of ulcerative colitis ... She earned the start in 11 matches, playing as a defensive midfielder ... Angela closed the season with seven shots, including a season-best two against Oral Roberts (Sept. 23) and at Northern Iowa (Oct. 25).
2011 (Freshman at UC Riverside):
Benson appeared in 11 games, including one start as a freshman for the Highlanders in 2011 ... She fired off two shots in a season-opening loss at UNLV on Aug. 19 ... Benson notched her first collegiate start in the Highlanders’ 1-1 tie against Idaho on Aug. 21.
