Men's Tennis Sweeps St. Thomas, 7-0

OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton men's tennis team picked up a 7-0 win over St. Thomas on Saturday night at the Hanscom Indoor Tennis Center.
The Bluejays improved to 4-3 with the victory.
Creighton started the contest with wins at each doubles position. Shin Inoue and Stratton Brown combined for a 6-1 win at the No. 2 slot before Mac Mease and Luke Moorhead combined for a 6-3 win at the No. 3 position. Matthew Lanahan and Jose Oscar Diaz also paired for a 6-4 win at the top position as the duo improved to 5-1 this season.
The Bluejays ended the evening with straight-sets victories at each of the singles positions.
Freshman Zack Maline earned a 6-4, 6-4 win at the No. 6 slot for his first collegiate victory.
"Our guys played well and were able to remain focused and compete throughout the lineup," head coach Tom Lilly said. "It was nice to see Zack get his first singles win as a Bluejay and Mac moved into the top 5 all-time in doubles wins."
Creighton returns to the courts next week for match on Friday against Midland. First serve between the Bluejays and Warriors is scheduled for 1 p.m.
