WICHITA, Kan. -- The Creighton men's team fell 7-0 to nationally-ranked Wichita State on Friday afternoon. The Shockers entered the match ranked No. 34 in the latest Oracle/ITA Division I Men's Rankings.
The Bluejays moved their season record to 5-5, while the Shockers improved to 10-5.

Wichita State started the day with a 6-3 win at the No. 1 doubles position. Jose Oscar Diaz and Matthew Lanahan combined for a 6-3 victory at the No. 2 position before the Shockers sealed the first point with a 6-2 win at No. 3.

Wichita State won in straight sets at the top five singles positions.
Joe Hoff opened the No. 6 singles match with a 6-1 win before dropping the final two frames, 6-4, 6-3.
"Wichita State played well today," graduate assistant coach Aaron Chalstrom said. "There is a reason that they are ranked where they are. We'll get back to the practice court and begin to prepare for two great home matches next week. I know our team will be ready to go."
Creighton returns to the courts on Thursday for a home match against North Dakota. First serve between the Bluejays and Fighting Hawks is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
