OMAHA, Neb. - The women's tennis team finished its spring trip with a perfect 6-0 record in Orlando Fla. Tess Reddin had a perfect week, going 5-0 in singles and 6-0 in doubles, all of which came in the No. 1 slot.
Of the team's six victories, five were shutouts, with the only non-shutout coming in a 5-1 victory over Appalachian State.
The Jays got one of their key players back during the trip, as Lindsey Erickson came back from an achilles tendon injury to go 1-0 in her single victory over Rochester, 6-0, 6-0. Erickson had been out of action since Feb. 1, against Western Illinois.
Other stars for CU during the week were Lauren Mastro and Kelsey Schmidt who each went 6-0 in both singles and doubles. Mastro competed mostly in the No. 2 slot, while also filling in the No. 1 spot for Reddin during a match. Schmidt competed in the Nos. 2, 3 and 4 slots during the trip.
The team's next match will take place on March 21 at home, as it takes on Bradley.
