Henne Claims Flight B Championship at Drake Invitational

Des Moines, Iowa - Freshman Michaela Henne won the Flight B singles championship to highlight the final day of action for the Creighton women's tennis team at the Roger Knapp Drake Invitational on Sunday, Sept. 13.
After dropping the first set to South Dakota's Emma Kranendonk, Henne battled back to claim the match, 4-6, 6-3, 7-6.
Henne and junior Katherine Nelsen competed in doubles action, falling to the team of Alysa Straub and Laurie Clark (Milwaukee) in the consolation championships, 7-6.
The Bluejays return to action in two weeks as Creighton plays in the UNO Invitational on Friday, Sept. 25.
