Women's Tennis Sweeps Coe College, 7-0, to Secure Third-Consecutive Win

OMAHA, Neb. - Creighton Women's Tennis swept Coe College, 7-0, on Saturday to secure the Bluejays' third-consecutive win.
The Bluejays (3-3) earned wins at all three doubles spots to take a 1-0 match advantage into singles competition.
In singles play, Creighton continued to control the match, with all six Bluejay players finding the win column.
Ashley Ishimura and Darby Rosette earned convincing, 6-1, 6-0, wins at No. 1 and No. 2 Singles, respectively.
Reigning BIG EAST Women's Tennis Player of the Week, Sam Anderson, won at No. 4 singles, defeating Sarah Lasecki, 6-0, 6-1.
Karlin Naslund bested Diannah Watson, 6-3, 6-2, at No. 3 Singles.
Meanwhile, Katherine Nelsen and Ashley Monaco each recorded, 6-2, 6-1, victories at the third and sixth positions, respectively.
Anderson, Naslund, and Rosette each pushed their singles win streaks to three matches, while Ishimura clinched her fourth-consecutive singles win.
"Our girls played well through the lineup and did what they needed to do to win their individual matches," Creighton head coach Tom Lilly said. "We will need a good week of practice to get ready for our next home match against a strong Oral Roberts team."
The Bluejays will look to continue their winning ways as they play host to Oral Roberts on Friday, Feb. 2 at 7:00 p.m.
