Women's Soccer Downed 3-0 at Air Force

Colorado Springs, Colo. -- The Creighton women's soccer squad suffered a 3-0 loss to Air Force in the Bluejays second match of the season on Friday, Aug. 24.
Creighton fell to 0-2-0, while Air Force moved to 1-2-0.
The Falcons pulled ahead in the 10th minute as Emma Nelson took advantage of a shot off the cross to send home a goal from 15 yards out. Erin Speer and Micah Larkin were credited with assists, with Larkin taking the first shot.
Air Force pushed its lead to 2-0 late in the first half as Kasey Stavig played a corner directly into the back of the net in the 43rd minute.
The Falcons' third tally came in the 61st minute as Nelson, this time taking a pass from Rafaella Bucur.
The Bluejays closed the match with 10 shots and one corner kick.
Creighton returns to the pitch on Monday, Aug. 27 as the Jays face Nebraska-Omaha in a crosstown battle at 7:00 pm.
