Bluejays Look to Continue Winning Ways Against Eagles and Jackrabbits
Omaha, Neb. -- The Creighton women's soccer team wraps up its season-opening five match road trip over Labor Day Weekend as the Bluejays face Eastern Michigan (Aug. 31) and
South Dakota State (Sept. 2) this weekend.

Creighton's First Meeting with Eastern Michigan
The Bluejays and Eagles will meet for the first time on Friday.
Bluejays Lead Jackrabbits, 10-2-1
Creighton and South Dakota State have met 13 times, with the Bluejays holding a significant edge. The Jackrabbits, however, have won two of the last three matchups. The Bluejays are 5-0 in Brookings.

Scouting Eastern Michigan (1-3-0)
After opening the season with consecutive shutout losses on the road, the Eagles found their offense with a 2-1 win over Detroit-Mercy on Aug. 24. Two days later Eastern Michigan suffered a 3-1 loss to Dayton.
The Eagles face two contests this weekend with an early match on Friday versus the Bluejays,
followed by a short road trip to Rochester, Michigan to face Oakland on Sunday.
Sophomore Sabrina McNeil leads with Eagle with three points this season on a goal and one assist. Eastern Michigan has senior Kaylin Williams in the net for each match this season. She has notched 21 saves and allowed eight goals.
Scouting South Dakota State (2-2-0)
Similar to the Eagles, South Dakota State was shutout in each of its first two matches. Continuing the trend set by Eastern Michigan, South Dakota State found its offensive rhythm once the Jackrabbits got home, scoring eight goals in a win over Wayne State on Aug. 24. Two days later South Dakota State posted a 1-0 win over Drake.
Junior Lean Manuleleu leads South Dakota State with seven points, all coming in the win over Wayne State. Manuleleu was awarded the Summit League offensive player of the week honor for her
performance against Wayne State, a Division II squad.
Creighton Looks for First Consecutive Shutout Since 2016
Coming off a 1-0 win over Nebraska-Omaha on Aug. 27, the Bluejays head to Eastern Michigan looking to post consecutive clean sheets for the first time since Oct. 6 & 9, 2016. That was also the last time the Bluejays posted consecutive victories.
Bluejays Deliver Seventh Consecutive Win over Mavericks
Monday's 1-0 victory over Nebraska-Omaha marked the seventh straight win over the Mavericks, pushing the Bluejays' series edge on UNO to 9-1-0. The winning streak began on Sept. 22, 2002.
