2024Â (Graduate Student)
- Leading the Bluejays to 4-1 against UMass Lowell and Portland, Scherrman earned BIG EAST Player of the Week after posting a team-high of .611 batting average, five doubles, one triple, one home run, two walks and scoring seven runs. Â
- In his first year at Creighton, Matt played in 44 games, the fourth most on the team, with 36 starts varying between first, second and third base.Â
- He closed the season with a .264 batting average on 33 hits, 29 runs and 30 RBI.Â
- Matt had five multi-RBI games, and eight multi-hit games, being one of four Creighton players to have four hits in one game.Â
- Scherrman recorded a team-high 15 doubles, including three against St John’s on May 3.Â
- After going 4-4, Matt fell a home run shy of the cycle with a double, triple, two runs scored and four RBI in the Bluejays’ 13-8 win over UMass Lowell on March 6. Â
2020-23 (UW-Oshkosh)
- Appearing in 128 games with the Titans, Matt led UW-Oshkosh to a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference postseason bid four times.
- Matt closed his Titans career with 24 home runs, .366 average and 156 RBI.
- A two-time WIAC First Team selection, he was Third Team All-American in 2023 as he hit .427 with a .720 slugging percentage in 40 games.Â
- Scherrman was also stellar in the field, earning a spot on the 2023 All-Region defensive team.Â
2015-19 (Wheaton Warrenville South HS)
- Scherrman earned a combined nine letters in baseball (three), basketball (four) and football (two) as a Tiger.Â
- A two-time All-Dukane Conference First Team selection, Scherrman was the 2019 Red Grange Male Athlete of the Year.Â
- He guided the Tigers to a regional runner-up finish in 2019.
