- Matthew left John Carroll heavy with honors, after he excelled during the 2023 season earning D3Baseball.com First Team All-American, ABCA/Rawlings Second Team All-American, D3Baseball.com Regional Pitcher of the Year, D3Baseball.com First Team All-Region, ABCA/Rawlings First Team All-Region, Academic All-OAC, OAC All-Tournament Team, and OAC Pitcher of the Week honors twice.Â
- Aukerman supported his team through the 2023 OAC Tournament Championship series.Â
- In his three full seasons and one COVID season, he ended with a 14-6 record, pitching in 172.1 innings in 37 games with 30 starts and one perfect game and no-hitter on April 8 in 14-0 win against Capital.Â
- He threw 147 strikeouts, allowing 165 hits, and held his opponents to a .253 batting average.Â
- In the field he finished with six putouts, and 18 assists, recording a .828 fielding percentage.Â
